Genevieve’s Adventures: Cynde Watson “Get Gorgeous” Makeup Party
Celebrity makeup artist Cynde Watson unveiled her color cosmetic collection at a special “Get Gorgeous” Makeup Party, held at the Georgia NY Salon in the East Village last Thursday. Color by Cynde Watson launched last year on HSN to a national audience, and now she’s offering her services & product to the beauty-conscious ladies of NYC.

This is definitely one of the few makeup lines that is made up entirely of pencils! Inspired by her six-year-old daughter Kennedy, Cynde needed to put together her look fast, and often multi-tasked lip and eye pencils as blush and a quick smudged eyeshadow. The former Bobbi Brown executive used exclusive formulas for each pencil, so it glides on seamlessly.
For makeup artists, this is the answer to having the portable kit of your dreams! Each foundation pencil comes with a synthetic brush attachment and custom pencil sharpener. No need to touch up with dirty fingers anymore!
The evening was complete with makeovers by the CW team, champagne mimosas & a room full of fashionistas and tastemakers. A-listers from the beauty world were also in the house, including the fabulous Sam Fine, Emmy award-winning makeup artist Karen Dupiche, Kevin James Bennett and DeShawn Hatcher. WOW!!!! It is so amazing to see a makeup line that is so innovative and convenient!I’m not a makeup artist of any sort except with myself,and I know the hassle of having the sharpener(or finding it for that matter),seperate brush and trying to make it all work when in a rush…but THIS,this is EPIC!The idea of creating a line that incorporates the use of the pencil is pure genius because it gives you so much more control and room fro creativity when applying.I am also very happy to see people living out their dreams and also improving the lives of many others through beauty, and that other professional in the industry provide the support and love that serves as endless encouragement.Beautiful products made by beautiful people to perfect beautiful faces!Thank you for keeping us beautiful
