There’s nothing like starting out the new year with a photo shoot! I collaborated with William MacLeod and his After a Fashion meetup to get some brand new bridal shots for our company portfolio.

For any beginner makeup artist out there, I strongly recommend working with a photographer’s workshop or volunteering for the “shoot-off” to gain practice and build relationships with photographers. Normally photo shoots consist of 1 photographer, 1-2 models, and hair & makeup artist. The concept of a shoot-off is basically a group of photographers collaborating on a studio space, and having a number of models to shoot at one time. They are beneficial because you save money on studio space, and gain practice from those who are more experienced.

I’m so grateful to those who came out, despite the weather! My friend, Brenda Martinez, was our talented hairstylist who worked her magic with our models, along with the photographers from After a Fashion. Here are a sample of the photos I received:
