How in the heck did I do that?!
Jasstina - all grown up!
In a desperate act to get my portfolio together, I managed to test with this lovely lady and William MacLeod. The funny thing is that she had such a serious pose, and I asked her to fake a laugh, a la a TV commercial. I looked at the frame and thought it was too stiff. However, once I saw it on my computer, it looked great! It goes to show – don’t be quick to delete frames…it could be that money making shot!
Another funny story too – the original model I booked backed out last minute (what else is new). I looked at the previous responses to my castings, and saw Jasstina, whom I have not seen in 2 years! She went through a NFTE program with her candle-making business, and next thing I see her on Model Mayhem wearing close to nothing! I’m so glad we got to reunite and work together.
The makeup I used -
- Face - Artistry Absolute Oil-Control Foundation (not sure what shade, but it’s stays matte for photo shoots!), Artistry Essentials dark concealer
- Eyes – Artistry eyeshadows – Jet (black – also used it on her brows), Reflective (brow highlight), bareMinerals glimmer (silver mineral pigment – for inner corner of eye), NAO brow pencil (discontinued though)
- Lips - Artistry Sheer Madeira (my fave lipstick for darker skintones), NAO lip gloss (flaunt – clear)
