The Official Gorgeous on the Go website is here!
Hey all…it’s finally here! Starting this website has been a dream from when I began this business, as well as having the privilege to share my thoughts and insights with my audience. I’m very grateful for the support of a few people who helped me with this process, such as Omar Faruk, who walked me through this entire process. Now I can’t get off this site! Although the content is a bit (ok, a lot) incomplete, I figure I’d start the blog portion now, so I can give people an excuse to check out my site.
My goals for building this website & maintaining a blog would be…
- To reach out to potential clients and give them more information about our company
- To engage existing customers with relevant content (i.e. special promotions, events, beauty tips)
- To build the Gorgeous on the Go brand as an expert resource in the beauty services industry – for our clients and beauty professionals
- To share my insights as an emerging entrepreneur, beauty “insider”, and over-analytical woman
- To give other GotG staffers an outlet to voice their opinions on the beauty & fashion industry
So the above is a total giveaway that I was a Communications student – Advertising & Public Relations major to be exact! I felt that I needed to disclose these goals so the expectations are set and I will be held accountable as well. This will be an exciting journey for the both of us (yes, you reader!) as I reach out and grow the audience (and clientele too!). I love blogs because they give more of a human feel to a website – there’s actually someone behind the html, coding, etc. Of course, the more personal the blog, the more compelling. I think I’ve written enough already…it’s 3am! Time flies when you’re productive!

Gen,
Congrats on your new web-site! It’s very encouraging to see how you’ve grown in your business since I last spoke to you in May regarding Meet-up.com Make-up Artists Group.
It’s great to have a website like yours as a resource for fashion and beauty professionals! I look forward to your continued growth and networking events. I wish you much success in all your endevours!
Sincerly,
Lucy Mercado
