Fashion Rocks 2007
I had the distinct pleasure of being a seatfiller for the 4th Annual Fashion Rocks Concert! For those who want to make a career out of seatfilling (mind you, there’s no pay), register online at www.tvaudiences.tv. Below are pics as proof that I was actually there before my phone died!
For you future crowd fillers, here are some recommendations:
Do bring a camera, even when they tell you not to!
Don’t forget to charge your phone (and bring the charger too!).
Do bring a friend that will arrive one hour earlier than you (thanks Chantelle!).
Don’t expect to be treated like an adult – we had to ask to use the bathroom, sit quietly on the stairs while the performers were rehearsing, and be repeatedly told to stand against the wall (flashback – kindergarten)!
Do eat a hearty meal you arrive – we were confined in Radio City from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.!
Altogether, it was an incredible night. I’m not a celebrity fanatic, but I was certainly starstruck! The only downside was anxiously waiting when the ticketholder comes back to their seat, but it only happens in between performances. But how many nights do you get to sit behind Cuba Gooding Jr. and take a peek of his Blackberry over his shoulder? I got to sit about 5-10 rows right in front of the stage and got to see all my fave music artists live!
The most impressive performances were – Jennifer Hudson (and that bangin’ dress!),Usher & Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys (even though she didn’t perform “No One”), and Fergie. The night was complete when Kimora Lee Simmons walked past the aisle with her entourage, and also lovely views of LL Cool J and Swizz Beatz (who sat behind Chantelle!).
